PARTNER STATEMENTS - SCRN (Suffolk Coastal Resource Network)
The functions of SCRN
Suffolk Coastal Resource Network (SCRN) is a collection of infrastructure organisations that operate in Suffolk Coastal. It has a development officer who provides funding and development support and advice to voluntary groups throughout the Coastal area. It is also a working group of the Local Strategic Partnership around community development.
What representation does SCRN provide and how does it make a difference to the VCS?
SCRN acts as the conduit between the VCS and the LSP in the Suffolk Coastal area. We can hear local issues and ensure that they are given a voice at a higher level, particularly regarding work that the LSP is engaged in. We ensure that the LSP takes into account the general issues of the VCS in its’ work.
What strategic partnerships does SCRN sit on?
Wil Gibson - Local Strategic Partnership Board
Chris Kerr - Local Strategic Partnership Board, Community Development Working Group (LSP)
Laura Hack - Lead Officers Group (LSP)
How to get information to SCRN

How does SCRN feed information back to the VCS sector?
Suffolk Community Resource Network newsletter, 1:1 contacts, network lunches and events.
How can people get more involved in representation in SCRN's area?
Attend network lunches to hear and share views. Take part in consultations. Become involved in the SCRN steering group. We can also broker places on the LSP.
